Dentistry has some very distinct occupational hazards. In a recent survey, it was reported that 87% of Dentists surveyed reported debilitating eyestrain, 75% reported carpal tunnel symptoms, and 50% reported back, neck and shoulder pains. Sadly many of these occupational hazards lead to long-term health issues for Dental Professionals that left unresolved can lead to a forced early retirement.
